epic journeys

Multi-session leadership adventures for lasting change

Some leadership challenges can’t be fixed in a single afternoon.

Epic Journeys is our signature programme using our custom role playing game ‘A Quest Within’: a series of immersive, game-based sessions run over weeks or months, designed to create the kind of leadership culture you actually want to keep.

Your leaders will face a mix of challenges that mirror the tricky, high-stakes moments at work. They’ll practise new ways of thinking, test skills under pressure, and reflect on what’s working - so the change doesn’t just show up for a week, it sticks.

Perfect for:

  • Executive & senior leadership teams building shared principles and ways of working

  • Founders & entrepreneurs preparing themselves and their teams for a growth phase

  • HR & People leaders wanting leadership development that delivers visible behaviour change

why epic journeys works

It’s more than a workshop
You can’t shift culture or habits in one sitting. By working over multiple sessions, we can dig deeper, build momentum, and keep leaders accountable for making changes between quests.

Real-world application
Each game is tied directly to the situations your leaders face - difficult conversations, rapid decision-making, conflict, collaboration, and more. We connect every insight back to real work.

Inclusive by design
Different personalities, learning styles, and thinking patterns all have space here. Our games give leaders multiple ways to contribute, so everyone’s voice gets heard and valued.

how to create an epic journey

we map your goals

Before the first quest, we dig into where your leadership team is now and where you want them to be. We’ll look at:

  • Your current leadership culture (and what’s helping or holding it back)

  • The business or team challenges you’re facing right now

  • The skills, mindsets, and behaviours you want to strengthen

  • We don’t just take a brief — we also survey your leaders so your adventure is grounded in reality and tied to real outcomes.

we design your world

This is where the magic happens. We create a fictional setting that mirrors the tensions, choices, and trade-offs of your real work. Every character, obstacle, and twist is chosen to challenge your leaders in the right way.

We’ll decide:

  • The overarching storyline that runs through the programme

  • The leadership skills each quest will target

  • The balance between collaboration, conflict, and individual decision-making

  • It’s not random fun - it’s a carefully engineered learning environment where every move is a test bed for how your leaders operate.

we run the quests

We facilitate every session with a balance of pace, energy, and reflection. Your leaders get immersed in the story quickly, take ownership of the challenge, and start showing you exactly how they operate when the stakes feel high.
Along the way we:

  • Spot key leadership patterns emerging in real time

  • Challenge unhelpful habits and highlight strengths

  • Adapt the game if your team needs a sharper test or a different lens
You’re not getting a “set and forget” workshop — we’re in the room as coaches, storytellers, and observers.

After every quest, we guide your team through a debrief that makes the learning explicit:

  • What worked well in the game, and why

  • Where things went sideways - and how that mirrors your real challenges

  • How to apply the insight back at work immediately

  • Between sessions, leaders test new behaviours in the real world. At the next quest, we check in on progress and build from there - so the learning compounds, rather than fading.

we connect the dots & embed the change

At the end of the journey, you’ll have:

  • A clear picture of your team’s strengths and blind spots

  • Agreed actions for how you’ll lead together going forward

  • Shared stories and reference points that keep the culture alive long after we’ve left
